Hi, I’m Matthew and this is a website with a bunch of words typed by me that I hope you find interesting or at least amusing.

I’m most energized when writing Rust, exploring file formats, or experimenting with SIMD and GPU parallelism. All of my programming is on github.com/friendlymatthew.

I currently live in New York City and work at Pydantic as a database engineer.

I went to Wesleyan but would consider myself self taught.

When I’m not programming, I spend my time training jiu jitsu or hanging out with friends.
